  • Māori wardens in your area have a range of services available for whānau. Contact your regional coordinator.

  • Whānau Ora, Hāpai Te Hauora, Māori health providers or Te Puni Kōkiri regional support may also provide relevant services for you and your whānau.

    Marae

  • Oranga Marae - a programme of support, advice and investment for marae. Giving whānau and hapū advice, funding and support to help develop their marae and achieve their goals. This support may include building projects and activities to revitalise cultural knowledge.

    Kai Sovereignty

  • Toi Te Ora - Maara Kai - this video and step by step guide shows you how to build your own thriving no-dig vegetable garden or maara kai which is a fun, active and affordable way to feed your whānau with all the added beenfits of healthy produce free of sprays and additives like sugar, fat and salt.

  • Maara Kai Programme - a local level initiative that is administered through all TPK regional offices, small one-off funding grants of up to $2,000 (GST exclusive) are available to help community groups, such as marae, kōhanga reo, Kura, schools and Māori communities. This funding can be used to support the provision of services to enable the establishment of a garden.

    Te Mana O Te Wai

  • Kahui Wai Māori - the Māori Freshwater Forum works collaboratively with the Cross-government Water Taskforce on the development and analysis of policy options. The forum was established in October 2018. It is intended to bring perspectives, insights and skills from a wide range of Māori society, and be flexible enough to provide useful input into the full range of relevant issues in the Essential Freshwater work programme.
